Pressure Sensor 6-speed SMG
The pressure sensor measures the hydraulic pressure in the accumulator. Based on this value, the SMG enables and disables the hydraulic pump to fill up pressure. This is an original and brand-new spare part.
Transmission Speed Sensor 5- / 6-speed SMG
This sensor provides the speed signal of the transmission input shaft. The speed signal is required by the SMG control unit to control the transmission system, adjusting properly the shaft speeds before engaging and disengaging the different gears.
Pump Relay 6-speed SMG E60 E63 Z4 E85
The pump relay is responsible to turn on / off the hydraulic pump of the SMG system. A broken relay causes the pump to fail priming. Without hydraulic pressure, the system cannot engage the clutch or change gears.

Selection Solenoid Valve 6-speed SMG
The selection solenoid valve (marked ‘OOV’) is responsible for moving the gear selector sideways to select gear pairs. If this two-way on/off valve fails, the car may be unable to engage one or more gears. Note: the product photo is for illustrative purposes only, the valve is supplied without the Magneti Marelli sticker.
Control Unit 6-speed SMG
The transmission control unit (ECU / TCU) is the main computer responsible for the control of the 6-speed SMG.

There are various part numbers of this ECU, some of which are compatible with each other. Some ECUs need to be coded or flashed after installation. Checking the compatibility is your responsibility, a return is not possible.
Shift Solenoid Valve 6-speed SMG
The shift solenoid valves (marked ‘PPV’) are responsible for engaging the gears in the SMG gearbox. There are two of these pressure-proportional valves mounted on the hydraulic unit. Working in conjunction with the selection valve, they operate the shift actuator. If either valve is faulty, the car may be unable to engage one or more gears.
