Wiring Pin Release Tool BMW E46 M3 SMG II
Our pin extraction tool is essential for the replacement of the E46 M3 BMW SMG II pump motor. Designed specifically for safely extracting the motor’s pin contacts from the round connector, this tool ensures a precise and damage-free removal process. It is ideal for workshops and mechanics conducting routine maintenance on E46 M3 SMG II systems.
Hydraulic Pump Internal Gears BMW E46 M3 SMG II
The internal gears of the hydraulic pump are prone to mechanical wear, leading to a loss of pressure-building capability. Our kit comprises new gears and metal seals precisely crafted to meet the original specifications, thereby restoring the pump’s functionality. During the gear pump overhaul, we strongly advise replacing the seals, conveniently available here.
Pump Relay BMW E46 M3 SMG II
The pump relay is responsible to turn on / off the hydraulic pump of the SMG system. A broken relay causes the pump to fail priming. Without hydraulic pressure, the system cannot engage the clutch or change gears.
Pictures shown are for illustration purpose only. The relay supplied may have a different color.
Temperature Sensor BMW E46 M3 SMG II
The temperature sensor is located on the hydraulic unit of the M3 SMG II and measures the temperature of the hydraulic fluid. Due to its location in a high temperature area, the sensors suffers often from damage and is a common problem.
Pump Reservoir Seal BMW E46 M3 SMG II
New seal for the hydraulic pump plastic reservoir. The seal meets the requirements for use in the SMG hydraulic system.
Transmission Speed Sensor BMW E46 M3 SMG II
This sensor provides the speed signal of the transmission input shaft. The speed signal is required by the SMG control unit to control the transmission system, adjusting properly the shaft speeds before engaging and disengaging the different gears.
Pressure Accumulator BMW E46 M3 SMG II
Our refurbished pressure accumulators are equipped with a filling valve and freshly filled with nitrogen gas.
The accumulator is responsible to store the pressure of the SMG system for later access by the actuators. The piston type accumulator has two cells: one cell storing the hydraulic fluid and one cell containing a gas to create counterpressure. Both cells are separated by a moving piston. A broken accumulator causes the pump to prime permanently.
