Pressure Accumulator BMW E46 M3 SMG II
Our refurbished pressure accumulators are equipped with a filling valve and freshly filled with nitrogen gas.
The accumulator is responsible to store the pressure of the SMG system for later access by the actuators. The piston type accumulator has two cells: one cell storing the hydraulic fluid and one cell containing a gas to create counterpressure. Both cells are separated by a moving piston. A broken accumulator causes the pump to prime permanently.

Complete Hydraulic Unit BMW E46 M3 SMG II
The refurbishment of the SMG II hydraulic pump includes intensive cleaning to remove old hydraulic oil as well as the installation of the following new parts:
- New hydraulic pump electric motor (sold here separately)
- New temperature sensor (sold here separately)
Pump Relay BMW E46 M3 SMG II
The pump relay is responsible to turn on / off the hydraulic pump of the SMG system. A broken relay causes the pump to fail priming. Without hydraulic pressure, the system cannot engage the clutch or change gears.

Clutch / Selection Solenoid Valve BMW E46 M3 SMG II
New clutch / selection solenoid valve for the E46 M3 SMG II. There are two of these flow-proportional solenoid valves on the hydraulic unit: one for clutch control and another one for gear selection. If one of these two valves fails, the SMG can no longer correctly open and close the clutch or shift gears.
